Innovative SME

The Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Innovation has awarded us the Innovative SME seal, a recognition of our company for having carried out activities in the field of research, technological development and technological innovation (R&D&I) in recent years. Thanks to this seal, we will have more support to continue investing in talent and innovation in the coming years, and continue to be at the forefront of the sector.

I+D+i (Research, development and innovation)

Since its foundation, Enplast has always installed the latest technologies. Enplast has been a pioneer in Europe in the use of 100% electric machines, in a joint collaboration with the machinery manufacturers to develop this technology, providing our experience and knowledge.

Nowadays, the innovative spirit of Enplast also translates into collaborations with the main Institutes and Research laboratories. We develop both individual and joint projects to improve the efficiency of our processes and the performance of our products, with different lines of action such as materials, additives, manufacturing parameters or even improvements in designs.

On the other hand, the environmental concern in these days, has directed our efforts towards the development of regenerated materials, hand in hand with a project at European level. It is a priority today to develop technology to reuse raw materials and reduce the waste we throw at our planet.

In line with our sustainability strategy, we develop sustainable packaging together with our customers based on 3 fundamental pillars:

Ecodesign

To reduce weight and avoid overpacking – using our know-how and experience we optimise the design of our packaging. In addition, we rely on the use of powerful programmes that are able to anticipate the behaviour of our packaging under different loads.

We use these studies to create customised production programmes, as our state-of-the-art machinery allows detailed thickness definition of more than 200 control points.

Recyclability

We manufacture 100% recyclable packaging.

Sustainable materials

We have a wide range of recycled materials available from trusted suppliers and incorporate them into our packaging. In addition, the possibility of manufacturing with three-layer technology with recycled material in the middle layer provides our customers with a high quality, high performance alternative.

Innovation and Sustainability Awards

Every year we launch multiple products with our customers incorporating the concept of Eco-design and the use of recycled materials. We are proud that not only are these products successfully marketed to the market, but some of them have been awarded in the category of Innovation and Sustainability by the prestigious world-wide organisation Worldstar Packaging Awards.
